9/1/2004 - Echo the comments below, the wireless speed is great, and the large seating area is very nice, including the cluster of easy chairs in the center. Staff are friendly, prices on most deli items are reasonable.
Great wireless speed and a nice seating area. However, the staff gets rather loud and obnoxious as the hours get later, making it difficult to concentrate on one's studies.
04/07/2008 - This WAS my favorite place to work downtown with my collegues as I got some intresting beverages and snacks. That came to a quick halt last week when I walked in to get a bottle of my favorite Blood Orange Italian Soda. I was perusing some interesting fig breads from spain, I picked up to see the list of ingredients and put it back down after thinking about my waistline and continued to look at the items adjacent to it. Out of nowhere the elderly gentleman that is usually at the front counter comes up behind me and accuses me of putting one of the fig breads in my pocket. "I said sir you are welcome to search my person if you believe i have done this" he answered I am not going to put my hands on you, I insisted that he search me and offered that i will take my jacket off and give it to him to search if that would put him at ease. In my mind I am thinking about how many times this man has taken my money at the counter and how many times I have asked him to reboot the wireless router... before I could say anything the gentleman asked me to leave. The stare from the eyes off all the people that were in the store as I was being escrted out felt like stabbing needles. I do not think i have been this upset humiliated in over 20 years. Needles to say I will no longer be spending my money here.
